Pawel Sasko, Associate Development Director for CD Projekt Red’s Cyberpunk 2077 sequel, spoke about The Witcher 4 and Cyberpunk 2 on the Flow Games podcast. Sasko stated that The Witcher 4 is the best project the company and its partners are working on right now, and also talked about which game will be released first.
The Witcher 4 could be the company’s first AAA game to be released
While Sasko didn’t go into detail about CD Projekt Red’s upcoming games, he did share small hints about the development process. The producer talked about the remake of the first The Witcher, Cyberpunk 2, the somewhat troubled Project Sirius side project and the new Witcher series, and admitted that The Witcher 4 is the most perfect game of all.
The famous producer said that more than 400 employees are currently being shifted to The Witcher 4 project and that The Witcher 4 will probably be the first game to be released from CD Projekt RED. Barring a huge surprise, The Witcherwill be followed by Cyberpunk 2, also called Project Orion, and The Witcher Remake.
Another interesting point of the conversation is that The Molasses Flood, the indie studio that worked on the development of the somewhat troubled Project Sirius, is working directly with Sasko at the new Boston studio of the company Sasko helped found… In this sense, we may not have to wait too long between these three AAA games.
